Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The data controller is SYNQ Ventures UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Wasserstraße 4, 06618 Naumburg (Saale), Germany. Contact for all privacy matters: hello@wearesynq.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Registration data (name or company, email address, preferred language, alert opt-in) when you create a member or organizer account. Purpose: operating your account and, if you opted in, sending event alerts. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawable at any time.
- Dashboard data(events you save, networks you mark yourself in, saved searches) stored against your account so your dashboard can show them on any device. Saved events also feed an anonymous per-event counter shown to the event's organizer; your identity is never disclosed. Legal basis: performance of the membership (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); entries are deletable one by one in your dashboard.
- Event submission data (event details, organizer name, contact email) when you submit an event. Purpose: reviewing and publishing the listing. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The organizer name and event details become public if the listing is approved; the contact email does not.
- Server logs (IP address, user agent, requested pages) processed by our hosting provider for security and operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or build tracking profiles.
3. Processors and third parties
- Vercel Inc. (hosting and content delivery, EU and US infrastructure, EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Vercel Web Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view statistics. Visits are counted via an anonymized hash that is discarded after 24 hours; no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- OpenStreetMap Foundation: venue maps on event pages are embedded from openstreetmap.org, which receives your IP address when the map loads.
- Links to third-party ticketing and event pages (organizers, Meetup, Eventbrite and similar) are external; their own privacy policies apply once you follow them.
4. Mobile app
The MallorcaBusiness app for iOS and Android uses the same member accounts as this website. Signing in stores your email address and a user id with our processor Supabase (EU region). If you save events in the app while signed in, the list of saved events is stored with your account so it syncs across devices; signed out, it stays on your device only. Event reminders are scheduled locally on your device. The app writes to your device calendar only when you tap "Add to calendar", after your permission, and never reads it. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs and does not access your location. You can delete your account at any time: in the app under Account, on the website in your dashboard, or by writing to hello@wearesynq.com.
5. Retention
Registration data is kept until you withdraw consent or ask for deletion. Event submissions are kept while the listing is live and for up to 12 months afterwards. Server logs are kept for the period set by the hosting provider (typically days to weeks).
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@wearesynq.com. You can lodge a complaint with any EU supervisory authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Sachsen-Anhalt (Germany, our lead authority) or the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es) in Spain.
Terms of Service
1. The service
MallorcaBusiness.com curates and lists business events and business communities on Mallorca. Listings are compiled with care from public information and direct submissions, and reviewed by hand. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness or availability: dates, venues, prices and conditions belong to the respective organizers and can change without notice. Always verify details with the organizer before making arrangements.
2. We are not the organizer
Unless explicitly stated, we are not the organizer of listed events and are not a party to any contract between you and an organizer or ticketing provider. Ticket links lead to external services under their own terms.
3. Event submissions
- You may only submit events you are authorised to publish, and the information must be lawful and accurate.
- By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to publish, format, translate and promote the listing on this site and in our alert emails.
- We may edit for style, decline or remove any listing at our sole discretion, and revoke the verified-organizer status at any time.
4. Intellectual property
The design, brand, texts and code of this site belong to the operator. Event names, logos and descriptions belong to their respective organizers and are shown for information purposes.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from cancelled or changed events, from the content of external sites, or from decisions taken on the basis of listed information, except in cases of intent or gross negligence.
6. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For merchants, the courts at the operator's registered seat have jurisdiction; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remainder stays in force.
